Our steadily growing fleet of ATR 72-600, Airbus A319, and A320 aircraft operates on behalf of major airlines such as SAS and Austrian Airlines, as well as for tour operators like Ving and Apollo, connecting travelers to destinations across Europe, Scandinavia, and beyond.

As we continue to expand, we are now looking for an Purchasing Officer to join our team. This role, based at Arlanda Airport (ARN), is crucial in ensuring the availability of materials for our maintenance operations, supporting the continued safety and efficiency of our fleet.

Purchasing Officer

Braathens is looking to strengthen our purchasing department with an experienced purchaser. You will be part of a small purchasing team with a joint responsibility for both line and base maintenance requirements.

In this role, your main responsibility is to monitor, secure, and order all the necessary materials at contracted external MRO stations when performing maintenance on Braathens aircraft.

Your daily work will involve contact with MRO, technical representatives, planning and engineering teams, and external suppliers. This is requiring strong communication and collaboration skills.

You will work together within the team to cover all material need within the technical department.

Your responsibilities include:

• Overall responsibility for purchasing spare parts for external maintenance
• Monitor, order, and follow up material for MEL, Defects and stock replenish for Braathens all stations
• Creating purchase orders and order follow-ups
• Daily contact with suppliers
• Handling returns of unserviceable (U/S) materials from external MRO
• Managing warranty claims and complaints regarding spare parts with suppliers
• Handling daily accounting activities for incoming invoices
• Documenting and verifying the traceability of material certificates (EASA FORM ONE, FAA, etc.)
• Other relevant tasks within the logistics department

We are looking for someone who has:

• Previous experience as a purchaser
• Strong IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
• Excellent proficiency in English
• A valid driver’s license (Category B)

It is advantageous if you have:

• Experience working in the aviation/MRO industry or another highly regulated industry
• Knowledge of aviation regulations, including EASA Part CAMO and Part 145
• Experience working with the aircraft maintenance system AMOS
• Experience with process-oriented work methods such as Lean, Six Sigma, or similar
• Good knowledge of customs-related matters
• Good knowledge of environmental-related matters

Additional information:
