About the Role
Braathens is excited to welcome a skilled and detail-oriented Flight Operations Officer (FOO) to our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will be at the core of our operations, playing a critical part in ensuring the safe, efficient, and smooth execution of our flights. Your responsibilities will include planning and monitoring flights, while maintaining close collaboration with our flying crew and providing real-time support and updates to ensure seamless coordination.
As part of this role, you will work in a 3-shift schedule, reflecting the dynamic and fast-paced nature of aviation operations. Collaboration will be at the heart of your work, as you liaise with pilots, air traffic control, and other key operational teams to address the challenges of modern aviation. This is a unique opportunity to contribute directly to Braathens’ mission of delivering exceptional service while maintaining the highest standards of safety and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Operative coordination of flights and crew to ensure seamless operations.
- Monitor active flights, providing real-time updates and support to crew members.
- Ensure compliance with aviation regulations, collective agreements, and internal policies during operations.
- Prepare and optimize flight plans considering weather, fuel, and regulatory requirements
- Optimize the use of company resources and ensure all planning adheres to rules and procedures.
- Analyze weather, NOTAMs, and other factors to identify and mitigate potential risks.
- Collaborate with internal teams and air traffic control to manage disruptions, delays, or diversions effectively.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in an OCC environment within aviation is required.
- Proficiency in Swedish and English, both written and spoken, is mandatory.
- Familiarity with PDC FlightOps and PDC Crew systems is an advantage.
- Experience with PPS Flight Planning is also highly desirable.
- Additional qualifications such as ATPL or Flight Dispatcher/FOO Certification are considered a plus.
- A strong understanding of aviation regulations (ICAO, EASA, FAA) is essential.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to perform effectively under pressure in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment
